About Trevor

Trevor (he/him) is an award-winning queer Montreal-based theatre maker, storyteller and teacher. Since graduating theatre school in 2011, he has written and produced four full-length musicals and two plays. His work has been presented at Centaur Theatre's Wildside Festival, Segal Centre's Academy, MainLine Theatre's Encore Series, St-Ambroise's MTL Fringe Festival, among others. As an actor, he has had the pleasure of performing onstage with the National Arts Centre, Centaur Theatre, Repercussion Theatre, Geordie Productions, Scapegoat Carnivale, Persephone Productions and Talking Dog Productions as well as in workshops and readings for the National Theatre School, Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal, Teesri Duniya Theatre and Infinitheatre. In the last few years, he has proudly served his community as President of the Montreal English Theatre Awards and Vice President of the Quebec Drama Federation.

About the lesson

I strive to offer a safe and creative space where students are encouraged and emboldened to make strong and honest choices. For actors preparing an audition or for general training, I offer a straightforward text-based approach to classical, contemporary and musical works. I like to work collaboratively with my students to help them achieve their specific goals while providing tools to understand the bigger picture.

Perfect! I’ve only had two sessions with Trevor so far, and I’m already incredibly excited about this journey. He’s opened my eyes to the art of script analysis and helped me dive deeper into character work—teaching me how to truly understand and embody a role from the inside out. Perfect! He helped me to strength my skills on monologue acting. He gave me a few examples to focus and he gave me his feedback on each one of them. He was concise with me about what he offers and I want to move forward on improvisation with other people on acting so I would search to move on with improvisation interactions. However I would recommend him for any student that want to improve their skills on monologue acting!
