About Margaret
Bowing feels like painting on air. I use my MMus background to help returning learners navigate spiccato and staccato with ease.
We focus on left hand agility and double stops until they feel like an extension of your own body. Sight reading and ear training form the core of our work. Intonation is critical.
I provide recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice so you never feel lost when you are alone with your instrument. Tuning by ear becomes a reliable habit.

Music found me early. My MMus training at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal turned a hobby into a life. I spent 9 years performing before dedicating my time to teaching violin to adults and self-taught players.
Practice is my sanctuary. My style is patient. 13 years of professional work inform every minute we spend together. Teaching is an art.
