I am a middle school math teacher with experience teaching 7th and 8th grade math. I am passionate about helping students understand math in a clear, supportive environment and building the confidence they need to succeed. I know that math can feel overwhelming for many students, and I work to make lessons approachable and stress-free. Through my classroom experience, I understand curriculum expectations and common challenges students face in math. I enjoy breaking down complex topics into simple steps and tailoring my approach to each student’s learning style and pace. My goal is to help students not only improve their grades, but also feel more confident and capable in math.

Teaching method and techniques:
I start by identifying what the student already knows and where they may be feeling stuck. I break math concepts into manageable steps, use real examples, and check for understanding frequently. I encourage questions and teach problem-solving strategies students can use independently, not just memorization.
Typical lesson plan:
Each session begins with a quick check-in or review of recent work or homework. We then focus on one or two key skills, working through examples together before the student practices on their own with guidance. I end each lesson with a brief summary and tips the student can use for homework or tests.
