About Catherine
I have worked as a tutor at Scott Community College in Bettendorf, IA, St. Ambrose University in Davenport, IA, and Western Illinois University in Macomb. I have taught GED classes with SCC and alternative high school with Black Hawk College in Moline, IL. I also worked as a volunteer writing coach with the Midwest Writing Center in the Quad Cities, and tutored at Lane Community College in Eugene, OR. I like to help students find their own voice and increase their confidence while reinforcing critical thinking skills. I prefer adult students, especially non-traditional students returning to college later in life.

I hold a masters degree in English from Western Illinois University and a master of fine arts in Creative Writing: Fiction from Spalding University in Louisville KY via their low-residency program.
