About Wess
I want to teach and help others because I believe education has the power to transform lives. Learning is not just about gaining knowledge; it is about unlocking potential, building confidence, and opening doors to opportunities that might otherwise remain closed. For me, teaching is a way to inspire growth and give people the tools they need to succeed, both academically and personally. I am motivated by the idea that every learner is unique and capable, even if they don’t yet see it in themselves. I want to help individuals recognise their strengths, overcome challenges, and develop the resilience to keep moving forward. By supporting learners to build good habits, stay motivated, and approach difficulties with a problem-solving mindset, I know I can make a meaningful difference in their journey. Teaching also gives me the chance to share my own experiences and lessons learned, especially from sport and education. I understand how discipline, preparation, and perseverance can shape success, and I want to pass that on in ways that are engaging and practical. It’s rewarding to see how small moments of encouragement or explanation can spark understanding and confidence in a learner. Ultimately, I want to teach and help others because I care deeply about people’s development. Helping someone grow, achieve their goals, and believe in themselves is one of the most fulfilling things you can do—and it is a privilege to play even a small role in that process.

I pride myself on being patient and approachable, able to adapt my teaching style to meet the individual needs of each learner. Whether it’s breaking down complex ideas into manageable chunks, using practical examples, or encouraging learners to think critically and creatively, I ensure that lessons are accessible and stimulating. Another strength is my focus on holistic development. I not only help learners achieve academically, but also nurture qualities such as resilience, ownership, and problem-solving. I encourage learners to take responsibility for their own progress, showing them how small, consistent habits lead to bigger achievements. This equips them with transferable skills that support their growth both inside and outside of school. Above all, I am passionate about seeing learners develop their potential. I take pride in building positive relationships, creating a safe and motivating atmosphere where learners feel valued and inspired to succeed. My strength lies in guiding learners to realise what they are capable of, and giving them the tools and confidence to get there.
