I am a fine artist and workshop facilitator, I have made a career based on books arts - and a multi sensory love of the edible word - hence, edible printing.
In these lessons, students will bring their own documents, images, sketches, writing or any other text or imagery or 2d objects to scan/upload into edible form.
We'll learn how to print the chosen document using edible inks on
-wafer (rice) paper
-Wafer card
-Fondant sheets
-Methods for sketching/writing copies by hand using edible ink pens.
-We'll explore the best ways to dry and store prints, and how to affix prints to cakes effectively
-You'll be given a suppliers list, and explore the best places to buy affordable edible printing supplies
I enjoy teaching to diverse learners, and like to run casual and practical sessions to embark skills without unnecessary, time consuming and frustrating trimmings! I am very happy to adjust my teaching style to suit the learner.
A first class honours graduate from Wimbledon College of Art, I have been teaching workshops for three years, for clients such as the British Museum and the BBC. I have taught one to one sessions, or for groups of up to 600 over an evening!
I deliver fun, playful but practical sessions. A bit of craft with a conceptual art twist.
