About Liucila
I grew up in Metro Manila in the Philippines & attended Holy Rosary School from Kindergarten through high school. After graduating high school, I attended & graduated Holy Rosary College of Education with a B.S. in 1991. I taught English at Pangarap High School, 1992-1997, when I immigrated to the USA to join my husband, an American by birth. I became a naturalized citizen in 2002 & I enrolled in Merced College in 2004. I studied pre-nursing, then switched my major to Psychology. I graduated Merced College 2008 & was in 2 honor societies, ALPHA GAMMA & PHI THETA. I am committed to providing the highest quality tutoring to my students whether they are in elementary school, high school, or in college.

I both teach & help my students learn how to study better & more effectively themselves. My lesson plans are derived & compiled from the texts or workbooks utilized by the education system the student is enrolled in, or that they are studying to enroll in. I am a very patient educator having spent the past 2 years tutoring a 10-year-old special needs child enrolled in regular classes. I am experienced in tutoring College Freshmen & Sophomores in English, Math & Science. I am also experienced at tutoring elementary, middle school, & high school students.
