About Finn
I am a passionate saxophone tutor with 4 years of experience teaching 150–200 students. My students include high school players, college musicians, and adults who want to learn for fun or personal growth. I believe everyone can learn music with the right support. One of my proudest milestones has been watching students take on challenges they once avoided—like performing in front of others or playing more advanced pieces. These moments show me the power of patience and encouragement. My teaching style is warm, friendly, and easy to follow. I focus on tone quality, breathing technique, rhythm, and expression. I break down lessons into small, simple steps so that each student understands clearly and feels confident as they improve. Teaching helps me share my love for music while supporting others. I enjoy helping students build new skills, develop passion, and discover what they can achieve with practice and dedication.

My teaching method focuses on real-life examples, motivation, problem-solving, integrity, and flexibility. When teaching saxophone, I use practical demonstrations and real situations—such as how musicians phrase a melody, use breathing in long passages, or adjust tone for different styles. These examples help students understand the musical purpose behind every technique.
Motivation is something I value highly. I make sure lessons are friendly, encouraging, and enjoyable. Students learn faster when they feel supported and confident.
Problem-solving is part of the learning process. If a student has trouble reading music, producing a clean tone, or playing tricky rhythms, we break the challenge into small steps. This helps students build solid skills and strong practice habits.
Integrity shapes my teaching environment. I communicate openly and respectfully, always giving feedback that helps students improve without feeling discouraged.
Flexibility allows me to shape lessons around each student. I adjust exercises, music choices, and teaching pace to fit their goals and interests. I also teach related subjects like music theory, ear training, and improvisation to help students develop well-rounded musicianship
