About Ben

Hello!

Thank you for considering me to help you on your wonderful acting journey!

I am a 24 year old Melbourne based actor. I'm a graduate of the 16th Street Actors Studio, Full Time Program.
I have worked on multiple independent projects, commercials, and most recently wrapped a supporting role on a major US feature film.

I have a pure love for this industry, study it constantly and absolutely adore helping other actors.

Over the years I've helped many friends who are also working professionally, one of them a major Australian award nominee.

This ranged from self tape assistance and feedback, along with script and character analysis, to giving these actors a whole new set of tools to add to their skill set.

I can promise that I will be passionate and provide you with a full, wonderful and fun experience, whilst giving you industry knowledge and training!

About the lesson

When coaching, I use my own learning, along with skills I've found useful when working as an actor, to develop and add to your skillset that you've already acquired.

THINGS I FOCUS ON:

- Audition Preparation:
character breakdown, script analysis, wants / needs of the character & anything you're uncertain about.
self tape guidance also included in this session.
(free feedback on self tape provided after the session)

- 1 on 1 Coaching:
tailored 1 hour sessions to cater for your needs and to focus on areas that you wish to develop
(recommended 15 minute free consultation for this, prior to booking. This allows me to create a plan prior to your session)

- Self Tape
this session allows me to give you skills that will instantly make your self tapes stand out and capture the attention of the viewer. Applying for an agent? Have an audition? Adding to your showreel?
Awesome!

Booking a free consultation is highly recommended. This allows you to see if I'm the right fit for you, and allows me to discuss your needs as an actor.

I hope to hear from you soon!

Ben Portelli, brother of Adrian (some quick incentive if you wanna find out how to get rich quick). An actor and a bloke who knows this industry inside out. I call him Deadline, because he has the intel quicker than that website itself.

A great man, whose love and dedication to this craft continues to astound me. He will give you in depth feedback about what worked, what didn’t and what you could try next time. He loves this industry more than anyone I know and he is keen to not only make himself a better actor but also you - You don’t find that often.

Has a deep film knowledge and knows how to convert your performance to the performance casting is after. Get a lesson with him and see exactly what I’m talking about. Good man Benny boy.

I was introduced to Ben through mutual industry connections, and he has been an incredible help for my acting career. His coaching, industry knowledge, and guidance have been invaluable in helping me develop my craft and approach auditions with greater confidence.

Ben has helped me prepare and film self-tapes for three feature films, two of which resulted in callbacks. His attention to detail, understanding of performance, and ability to bring out the best in me have made a real difference in my work. I would highly recommend him to any actor looking to develop their skills and take their work to the next level.

I met Ben through the industry and he immediately took me under his wing and has guided me through everything. He truly is a great mentor and coach as he is so knowledgeable about no only the craft, and his constant and continuous training in it but also everything else it takes to book jobs. He is one of the most industry knowledgeable people I know and anyone would be honoured to work under him.
