About Shvetansh

As a dedicated tutor pursuing a medical degree and a recent graduate of Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, I bring a strong academic foundation and over two years of tutoring experience. I have worked with students across a wide range of subjects, including AP Biology, Chemistry, Calculus, Mathematics, and Spanish. I also tutor medical school coursework, including anatomy, physiology, histology, and biochemistry.

My teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a supportive and individualized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging with challenging concepts. I tailor my approach to each student's learning style and academic goals, focusing not only on mastering course material but also on developing effective study strategies and confidence. I am passionate about helping students recognize their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve their academic goals.

About the lesson

I believe that struggling with a subject does not mean you are incapable of learning it—it often means you simply have not found the right approach yet. My goal as a tutor is to make challenging material understandable, build confidence, and help students develop the skills they need to succeed independently.

Teaching Method & Techniques
My teaching approach is supportive, individualized, and focused on true understanding rather than memorization alone. I adapt my teaching style to each student’s learning needs, academic goals, and current level of understanding. I use clear explanations, guided problem-solving, practice questions, real-world examples, and active recall to help students understand challenging concepts and apply their knowledge confidently. I also help students develop effective study strategies that they can continue using independently.

Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals and reviewing any areas of difficulty. We then work through challenging concepts step-by-step, with opportunities for the student to ask questions and explain their reasoning. I incorporate practice problems and application-based questions throughout the lesson to make sure the material is understood, not simply memorized. We finish by reviewing key takeaways, identifying areas that need additional practice, and creating a plan for continued improvement.

As a recent Baylor University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a current medical student, I understand the demands of rigorous coursework firsthand.
