About Sarah
An experienced educator with 12 years experience, who is passionate about helping children learn one to one and enthusiastic, ensuring the lessons are engaging. Tutored English to a range of students from KS1 to KS2, including 7+ and SATS, tutored Maths to a wide range of students from KS1 to KS3, including preparing for 7+, SATS and GCSE. Experienced in tutoring students who are living in children’s homes who have a range of emotional needs and also tutored Looked After Children who are living with foster parents/carers. A very flexible and adaptable tutor who will set work for students that enables them to meet the learning objectives successfully. Currently a SEN teacher, have experience teaching and tutoring students with ASD, ADHD, down syndrome, dyslexia, cerebral palsy and students who have speech and language difficulties. Students have benefited immensely from the tuition and feedback from both the schools and carers have been positive.

I have been tutoring students (KS1, KS2 and KS3) English and Maths including tuition of 7+, SATS and GCSE. I have had the opportunity to really get to know the whole student and focussed on individualised learning.
I have also built successful relationships with the parents/carers and established what they hope to achieve from the sessions. I believe it is very important to maintain the communication to fully enhance the learning which enables the learner to make sufficient progress. I have developed positive relationships with both the students and parents which has really helped make the tutoring experience successful. I believe that I am a problem solver and support students to get tasks completed. I enjoy tutoring students to a high standard.
