About Dev
I have twelve years of experience teaching Math to students of all ages and skill levels. My teaching style is patient, supportive, and adaptable, ensuring that learners can progress comfortably while developing understanding and confidence. I focus on creating lessons that are clear, structured, and motivating, helping students feel proud of every step they take forward. I adapt my approach to each student’s learning style, using visual aids, hands-on practice, repetition, or logical explanation depending on what resonates best. Maths becomes less intimidating when students receive patient, structured guidance and opportunities to build understanding gradually. In my lessons, I mix topics such as middle school math, algebra, geometry, elementary school math, and SAT math to create a varied, stimulating learning experience. We start by reinforcing foundational concepts, including number sense, fractions, ratios, and basic operations. Students learn step by step, with clear explanations that connect procedures to reasoning, helping them understand not just how to solve a problem, but why it works.
As students grow more confident, we progress into algebraic expressions, multi-step equations, geometry problem-solving, word problems, and SAT-focused strategies. Lessons incorporate examples, guided practice, and real-world applications that make abstract ideas more tangible. I emphasize pattern recognition, analytical reasoning, and careful checking of work, so learners develop habits that support both academic success and logical thinking.
In advanced lessons, students tackle complex, multi-part problems, apply skills in new contexts, and develop problem-solving independence. I guide learners in choosing strategies, breaking down difficult questions, and connecting different areas of mathematics. My goal is to help students develop resilience, curiosity, and a sense of accomplishment as they steadily build competence. By the end of the course, students not only improve their grades but also gain confidence in their ability to approach any mathematical challenge with clarity and control.
