  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

    Mathematics has always been one of my favorite subjects because it develops logical thinking and problem-solving ability. During my school and college years, I enjoyed understanding concepts deeply and helping classmates solve difficult questions. Over time, I realized that many students fear Mathematics not because it is difficult, but because they are not taught concepts in a simple and relatable way. This inspired me to pursue teaching professionally and help students build confidence in the subject.

    I have been teaching students from Classes 5–10 for more than 7 years through schools and home tuition. I especially enjoy simplifying complex topics and making Mathematics interesting and easy for students.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

    My biggest motivation comes from the positive transformation I see in students. When a student who once struggled with Mathematics starts solving questions independently and gains confidence, it gives me immense satisfaction. I was also inspired by some of my own teachers who taught with patience and dedication, and I wanted to create the same positive impact in students’ lives.

    Teaching allows me to continuously learn, connect with young minds, and contribute meaningfully to their academic growth.
  • How does your work help society?

    Teachers play an important role in shaping the future generation, and I believe Mathematics teaches much more than numbers. It improves analytical thinking, patience, confidence, and decision-making skills that students use throughout life.

    Through my teaching, I aim to reduce fear of Mathematics and create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. Helping students improve academically and become more confident learners is my contribution towards society.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

    Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam is one of my biggest inspirations. I admire his simplicity, dedication towards education, and belief in empowering students through knowledge. His ability to motivate young minds and encourage continuous learning inspires me in my teaching journey as well.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

    Outside teaching, I enjoy reading educational content, watching informative videos, playing badminton and learning new skills.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

    One memorable experience from my teaching journey was with a student who was very weak in Mathematics and lacked confidence to even attempt questions independently. I started focusing on strengthening the student’s basics through regular practice, concept-based learning, and positive encouragement. Gradually, the student became more confident and started participating actively in class. After a few months, the student showed significant improvement in exam performance and even began enjoying Mathematics.

    Moments like these remind me why I chose teaching as my profession and motivate me to continue helping students grow with confidence.
