About Maiurei

I am a full time primary school teacher with six years of experience teaching across Key Stage 2. I am currently the Head of Maths at my school and hold relevant qualifications that further strengthen my subject knowledge and leadership in mathematics.

Alongside my classroom role, I have over ten years of tutoring experience, supporting pupils from Year 3 through to Year 11 in mathematics. I have worked in a range of established tutoring centres, including Kumon, Study Box and Just11Plus, which has given me extensive experience with structured programmes, exam preparation and targeted intervention.

I have built up a wealth of high quality resources and use a flexible, child centred approach to tailor lessons to each learner’s needs. I am experienced in supporting children of all abilities, including those who need additional support or lack confidence in maths, and I am passionate about helping every child make expected and often accelerated progress.

About the lesson

My lessons typically range from one hour to one and a half hours, depending on the needs and preferences of the student.

Each session follows a clear structure to maximise learning and confidence. Lessons begin with a short warm up activity, followed by a recap and review of previous learning or homework. This leads into the main teaching input, where concepts are clearly explained using a range of strategies and resources. Students are then given time for independent practice so they can apply what they have learned with support and guidance as needed. Each lesson finishes with a home learning task to reinforce learning and support continued progress.

All sessions are delivered in a fun and engaging way to help children enjoy learning, build confidence and get the most out of every lesson.
