About Abel
I hold a B.Sc. in Mathematics from The Ohio State University, where I also spent four years employed as a recitation instructor and tutor. In this time, I regularly received glowing student evaluations where students praised my clear communication of course concepts, patience with students, and eagerness in helping every student succeed. Beyond this, I have spent another two years working as a private math tutor before coming to Superprof, and I am pursuing teaching licensure in the state of Ohio, where I aim to teach at the high school level.

Lessons with me have a focus on understanding why math works the way it does through visualizations, exploration, and building strong connections to previously learned content. Through this process, students are able to develop a more solid foundation on which to build necessary problem solving skills.
I also believe that tutoring and instruction are collaborative endeavors. Both the student and teacher need to put in the work, both in and out of lessons, to enable successful learning outcomes.
