About Jeromy
About Me
Making connections with students allows us to have a mutual understanding of the necessity knowing operations in mathematics. Empowering students through mathematics is crucial for their deeper understanding of the world around them. Having the opportunity to teach students about content which is relevant to them is key to active engagement in content; increasing the likelihood of further learning in their future. Usually there are several ways to solve mathematical problems. Knowing not only how but why solutions work helps students gain the conceptual understanding necessary to critically engage with material.

Students are taught with the methodologies related to the experience gained from the Masters in Teaching Program at the University of Washington.
Students are first assessed to find their improvement areas and strengths. Then, students are able to choose where to begin. Often, math is not learned in a specific order, so when students decide what topics to focus on, they are able to engage more effectively with material.
