About Arjun

I earned a PhD in Applied Mathematics and have spent the last 10 years helping students improve their mathematical skills and confidence. My fascination with mathematics started at an early age when I discovered how patterns and logical structures could explain complex situations in surprisingly simple ways.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students pursuing a wide variety of goals, from examination preparation to advanced academic study. I enjoy designing lessons that make challenging concepts easier to understand while encouraging students to think critically and independently. Patience and clear communication are central to my approach.

Beyond teaching, I enjoy studying mathematical modelling, optimisation methods, and the growing role of mathematics in technology and scientific research. Watching students overcome obstacles and gain confidence in their abilities motivates me every day. I believe mathematics can open doors to countless opportunities when taught with care and enthusiasm.

About the lesson

My mathematics lessons focus on helping students understand how mathematical ideas work together to solve problems. Topics such as algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and probability are presented through structured explanations that emphasise reasoning and understanding. I encourage students to explore different solution methods and develop confidence in their own thinking. This creates a stronger foundation than memorising formulas alone.

Lessons are carefully adapted to the needs of each learner. Students who require support with fundamentals receive patient guidance and step-by-step instruction, while advanced learners are challenged with deeper problem-solving activities and analytical tasks. Through worked examples, discussion, and practice exercises, students gradually develop greater accuracy and independence.

I aim to create an environment where learners feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and learning from the process. By building confidence and understanding together, students become better prepared for academic success and future challenges.
