About Sabina

I have recently completed my Mathematics BSc and a MSc in Computer Science this year. Having attended a top university and mathematics specialist sixth-form for my A-levels and achieving A*s in both Maths and Further Maths, I am very confident teaching students the A-level and GCSE content. Also, I have 1 year's worth of experience tutoring at a tuition centre, teaching pupils both online and in-person, as well as in groups and 1-to-1. I have been tutoring privately for 3 years, primarily teaching GCSE and A-Level, as well as some KS3 students. I hope to inspire students with my passion for the subject, and I aim to not only improve their knowledge but to spark a wider interest in the world of mathematics.

About the lesson

My lessons are led by the students, focusing exactly on what they need. By really getting to know each student, I can ensure that what we learn in lessons will be directly beneficial to them, targeting areas which they need more practice on, whilst still covering all the content that they need to understand. Having recently been a student myself, I completely understand the struggle and confusion of learning new and quite challenging content. Using my experience and familiarising myself with my student's thought process, I tailor my explanations to best suit the student. With maths in particular, practice is the key to mastery! Once we've completely understood the concepts we are tackling through examples, we must make sure to apply what we've learnt by doing many practice questions to really consolidate the student's knowledge.

Excellent! Sabina was an excellent and patient maths teacher. She took my daughter along a journey of having very little confidence in and knowing very little in maths to achieving a grade 6 in GCSE maths within 6 months through weekly online lessons where she explained and reinforced with my daughter the basic elements and methodology of maths. I was very impressed with the outcome.

Perfect! Sabina tutored my daughter in GCSE math and was instrumental in restoring her self-confidence. My daughter had lost her motivation and it took just one lesson with Sabina to change that. She actually looked forward to her weekly lesson. Sabina has been very patient and understanding throughout. I would definitely recommend.
