Methodology

Duration : 2 hours - Price : ₦2000.00 - Place : LekkiI am tutor who adapts teaching method to suit student’s learning style. I Instruct Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Junior Secondary School students' that learn Nigerian and British curricula Mathematics and Science.

I have been an a tutor of Mathematics and Science for several decades. While teaching, I feel good and happy when my students feel also good and happy because they learnt the key points of my lessons. When my students are not truly satisfied with the content of my teaching, I tell them that on the next classroom, I will explain to them what I have missed in the current lessons. Before teaching I prepared lesson materials, and then assess the student(s) through class work, assignment and standard test after the end of every lesson in other to identify student's strengths and weaknesses before setting target for the student(s).

While teaching, I make sure I take time to explain and reveal to my learners every logic and tips involved in solving mathematics and in learning science. I am more a mentor and organizer of learning experiences and situations, such that my students actively understand, reinvent and reconstruct everything they learn, than a simple transmitter of ready made and established truths imposed on them from outside. In other words, I avoid indoctrination and brain washing. This means that I make use of the active methods, not the traditional or conservative ones, and appeal to due technology when it is appropriate.
If the students are happy at the end of the day, so am I. If not happy, I must have missed something. I need to work harder to make learners happy.

My teaching philosophy: TO TEACH MY STUDENTS HOW TO LEARN...and not simply WHAT TO LEARN.
