About Farah

I am Farah Dubaisi, I have a BS in mechanical engineering, MS in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Wayne State University, and 5 years of technical experience in the automotive industry.
I exhibit high level of knowledge in a broad scope of math subjects, including but not limited to calculus, algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics. I have always been an A student in math during my school and college education, and later I specialized in solving high level algebraic models during my graduate studies. Throughout my college years I was working as a part time math tutor for high school and sophomore students, and I was able to help a lot of people improve their math skills and achieve their goals.

About the lesson

My objective is to teach my students a standard problem breakdown method which they can apply to any mathematical problem. I refer to this by “The Scientific Method”.

After that, we will spend several sessions applying this method on many problems until the student feels confident about it. Remember Practice Make Perfect, and my job is to skillfully and ethically guide you through assignments without doing the work allowing real learning and mastery to take place.

Perfect! Farah is an EXCELLENT math tutor. I've gone through many tutors to help my son understand not just how to do problems, but the concepts behind them as well! Farah takes the time to thoroughly do both. My son is progressing for the first time ever with a tutor
and finally has that "Aha" moment of understanding which builds confidence! He's currently studying Geometry as a junior in high school. Highly recommend!

Farah really helped me with my pre-calc class. In the beginning I thought I was going to fail the class so I began to search for a tutor and I am grateful and happy that I found Farah. Honestly i would have failed both my midterm and final if it weren't for Farah. She has great techniques to make you grasp the idea and learn it quickly. I hated statistics when we first started our tutoring sessions but surprisingly i liked it later. Of course thanks to Farah!
