As a math tutor, my approach focuses on building deep understanding and confidence rather than simple memorization of formulas. I break complex problems into clear, manageable steps and emphasize the reasoning behind each process so students understand the “why,” not just the “how.” A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material or homework questions, followed by a clear explanation of the day’s concept with worked examples, guided practice where the student solves problems with support, and finally independent practice to strengthen confidence and problem-solving skills. I adapt my explanations to each student’s learning style and focus on organization, logical thinking, and avoiding common mistakes. I primarily work with high school and college students in courses such as Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, College Algebra, and Introductory Statistics, as well as adult learners returning to math. What sets me apart is my ability to make difficult concepts feel approachable while maintaining high expectations and helping students develop lasting mathematical independence.
