Depending on the objective of the lesson, I may do more, but generally I will guide the student step-by-step through how to find the solution to their problem.
I am an economist and have taught business math to university students for a couple years. While mostly I have taught larger classes, I have had experience tutoring students in smaller groups and as individuals as well. Students have told me that I helped them not feel like they were bad at math as I am very methodical and do not skip steps.

Aside from serving as a adjunct professor for several courses teaching math for business, I am also knowledgeable of optimization and statistical techniques commonly used in economics. I have a MSc in Natural Resource Economics and a BA in Environmental Studies. I am currently obtaining a PhD in Economics that relies heavily on theoretical math (yay integrals!).
