About Sofia
Learning a language is an act of discovery. Language is life.
My approach focuses on the necessity of everyday phrases and the nuance of natural dialogue to ensure you are prepared for real-world interactions. Whether we are conducting role play sessions, refining your writing skills, or preparing for high-stakes interviews, I tailor our conversations to your specific goals. Drawing on 13 years of experience as an educator, I facilitate a space where intermediate learners and children can feel comfortable experimenting with complex grammar structures.
I find that the best way to master a language is to treat it as a continuous conversation, moving fluidly between travel scenarios and professional vocabulary. Grammar, verb conjugation, and practical conversation are the building blocks I use to help students bridge the gap between cultures. I bring a native understanding of both Latin American and Castilian variants to every conversation.
My experience includes teaching hundreds of students, including kids, travellers, and intermediate learners who need business Spanish for their careers. Having completed my Diploma of Music at JMC Academy, I understand the discipline required to learn a new language. My background in the Australian Latin music scene allows me to provide context that goes beyond basic textbook exercises.
I blend my professional background with a personal narrative that spans two worlds. My approach remains grounded in the belief that language is a tool for connection and human understanding.
