About Ishaani
Hi! I'm a singing tutor with over 7 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I specialise in working with young children and early teens, guiding them through their musical journey in a playful, supportive way. My lessons are filled with creativity—think musical games, storytelling, and movement-based activities that make learning feel like play. I use these tools to help students understand pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics without pressure. Whether we’re acting out a story through a folk song or moving to the beat of a Disney tune, the goal is always joyful learning. I love introducing kids to songs from musicals, folk traditions, and their favourite animated movies. Age-appropriate technique is always at the heart of what I teach, keeping voices safe and strong as they grow. I place a big focus on building confidence and listening skills, encouraging every student to find their unique voice. We celebrate small wins and enjoy music together—no stress, just fun and growth. Singing should feel exciting, never scary. I believe every child can develop musicality in a space that feels safe, positive, and full of laughter. Emotional connection is fostered by singing short, story-driven songs that match their current instrumental repertoire. This encourages expressive phrasing aligned with their musical instincts. For *The Orchestra Member*, the focus shifts towards vocal independence and blending. Breath control is refined using sustained tones and crescendo drills. Apps like *VoiceTools* help track vibrato, pitch, and volume balance. Since many orchestral players think in ensemble terms, lessons emphasise listening skills and harmonisation. Vocal technique is connected to posture and breath alignment already familiar from instrument playing.
