About Felicity
With 15 years experience on the fiddle, and having taught students of all ages, Felicity is always enthusiastic to connect with upcoming musicians and provide for them the opportunity to discover their passion for playing the fiddle.
Over the years, Felicity has attended face-to-face masterclasses with renowned Celtic fiddle players, such as Ciarán Ó Maonaigh and Liz Doherty, where she was able to learn from true masters of Irish music and gain insight on how to master the instrument.
She is part of a Celtic band 'Stray Celts', who enjoy performing and busking on their local streets after winning busking competitions in 2018 and 2019.
Aside from playing fiddle, Felicity is also a singer-songwriter, music producer and on-stage performer, and has appeared on ABC radio, BAYFM, Triple J and other radio stations.
She has completed her Bachelor of Music through UNE, Armidale, where she delved into a wide range of genres, projects and performances.
Now, Felicity is fully diving into her love for teaching fiddle, and is taking her experience, qualifications and education with her to ensure others are able to share in her love for music also.

Felicity offers one-on-one instruction for Celtic fiddle, where she will teach students:
• Background of Celtic music
• Fundamentals of posture, position and placement
• Aural learning (learning by ear)
• Basic score reading
• Improvisational techniques
• Effective music practice techniques
• Developing a stage-ready repertoire
• Mastering the Celtic fiddle, from beginning stages to advanced
During lessons, you will receive customised instruction that is designed to match your individual needs and skillset as a growing musician. Felicity will help you to find specific methods and techniques that work best for you, enabling you to become proficient on the fiddle and confident in your ability to achieve musical goals.
Throughout the course of your lessons, Felicity will provide personalised feedback and strategies tailored toward your progress, giving you the oppurtunity to reflect and rehearse regularly.
Whether focusing on how to hold the instrument, learning to improvise or breaking down a new tune, Felicity ensures that her lessons remain realistic, engaging and fun. It is her firm desire that all students should feel comfortable to express their needs, challenges and setbacks during their learning journey; therefore, making it her duty to ensure she provides her students with tuition that is supportive, understanding and relative to the individual.
