About Sahdev

Welcome! With over eight years of drumming experience and a Grade 6 certification from Rock School London, I'm dedicated to empowering students in their musical journey. My approach blends fundamental skills with creativity, offering personalised lessons that cater to individual goals and skill levels. I prioritise a supportive environment where progress is celebrated and challenges become opportunities for growth. Whether you're a beginner or aiming to refine your skills, let's explore rhythms together and unlock your drumming potential!

About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology: Customisation: I tailor lessons to each student's goals, abilities, and interests. Whether they're beginners or intermediate players, I adjust my approach to suit their needs. Fundamentals: Building a strong foundation is crucial. I emphasise basics like proper grip, technique, timing, and rudiments while incorporating musicality and expression. Interactive Learning: I combine theory with practical application, encouraging students to play along with tracks, improvisation, and learning songs they love. Progressive Challenges: As students advance, I introduce more complex rhythms, styles, and drumming concepts to expand their skill set. Typical Length of a Lesson: My lessons usually run for 60 minutes. However, I'm flexible based on the student's preference and learning pace. Qualifications/Experience as a Tutor: I've been teaching drums for several years, accumulating experience in catering to various skill levels and age groups. Holding a Grade 6 Certification from Rock School London in drums adds credibility to my teaching approach and ensures a structured understanding of drumming essentials. I've had the opportunity to work with students of different backgrounds, ages, and musical preferences, which has enriched my teaching style. Target Audience for Lessons: Level: Beginners to intermediate players looking to hone their skills or delve deeper into specific techniques. Age: I'm comfortable teaching all age groups. Whether it's young beginners or adults looking to pick up a new skill or improve their drumming abilities, I adapt my teaching to suit different age ranges. Overall, my goal is not just to teach drumming but to foster a passion for music and drumming in my students while ensuring they develop a solid foundation to progress confidently in their musical journey.

Excellent! He was very calm and reassuring. Good feedback and teaching by example. He identified my individual level and experience and tailored the lesson accordingly. I enjoyed it and we already booked the next session. He was interested to see where I want to go and my need around the lessons and targeted just that, even suggesting some goals and encouraging it.

His kindness and proficiency are truly remarkable. I have witnessed his musical talents firsthand; he plays musical instruments with the expertise of a professional, excelling in both drums and electric guitar. Based on these qualities, I wholeheartedly recommend him for the role of a drum tutor.
