About Dayanna
I’ve been dancing for as long as I can remember, but it was around the age of 17 that I truly reconnected with my passion for movement, inspired by somatic dance. Dance has always represented freedom to me, and I believe everyone deserves to experience that sense of liberation at least once in their lifetime. That’s what drives my passion for teaching — to guide others in finding their own freedom of expression through dance.
I focus on somatic movement, intuitive movement, and sensuality, because these styles have not only helped me learn to express my emotions in healthy ways but they helped me learn to trust my body again. They have helped me to reclaim my power and embrace joy and play. They empower me, and I want to pass that empowerment on to my students.
In my classes, I strive to create an environment where you feel free, safe, and encouraged to ask questions. My goal is for you to cultivate a sense of safety within yourself so you can express however you please without shame or guilt. My goal is for you to reclaim your power by connecting with your body and allowing yourself to not only flow freely, but teach you how to navigate the world from a space of joy. Through the use of somatic movements and the expression of sensuality, I foster confidence and self-expression, helping you connect with your body in ways that support your growth both in and outside of dance.

The primary goal of my dance fitness lessons is to empower people to reclaim their personal power and feel safe in expressing their emotions through movement. By creating a supportive and judgment-free environment, I encourage individuals to connect with their bodies, explore their feelings, and embrace their unique expressions. My lessons aim to foster a sense of community, allowing participants to share their experiences and support one another on their journeys toward self-discovery and emotional freedom. Through mindful movement and open dialogue, I help others recognize their strength and cultivate confidence in their ability to express themselves authentically.
