About Gemma
Teaching has taken me all over the world — I've lived and taught in Australia, New Zealand, Cambodia, and the UK, and that journey has shaped how I connect with students from every kind of background.
Alongside teaching, I trained as a coach, and I bring that into every lesson — helping students unlock their full potential, not just tick off a syllabus. I'm funny and engaging, but also patient, compassionate, and genuinely curious about who my students are as people, not just what level they're at.
Outside the classroom, I'm a mum of two and owned by two very spoiled dogs — which has taught me more about patience and consistency than any classroom ever could. Teaching is something I genuinely love.

My lessons are communicative and results-focused — you'll be speaking, practising, and building confidence from lesson one, not just studying grammar in isolation. I work in 45-minute sessions, tailored to whether you're preparing for IELTS, TOEFL, PET, or general ESOL/British English fluency.
I hold a Master's in Education and a Trinity Cert TESOL, and I'm a native British English speaker. I've taught for 20 years total — 10 years in international schools and 10 years online, specialising in exam preparation. My approach goes beyond the syllabus: I help students identify and work through whatever's holding their English back, so they reach fluency and hit their exam goals with real confidence.
