About Shreya

With over 3 years of tutoring experience and a BSc in Mathematics, I specialize in helping students build a strong foundation in mathematical logic and proof theory. My teaching is tailored for advanced high school and early university students who are ready to go beyond formulas and explore the structures of reasoning itself. I introduce formal reasoning through propositional and predicate logic, foundational set theory, and the principles of rigorous proof construction. Students who study philosophy, computer science, or pure mathematics often find my sessions especially valuable. I connect abstract concepts to real problems and use paradoxes to spark curiosity—Russell’s paradox, the liar paradox, and others that challenge conventional thinking. These puzzles not only engage but also train the mind for deeper problem-solving. I place a strong emphasis on understanding “why” behind every step, helping students build logical clarity and analytical precision. My sessions are interactive, reflective, and intellectually stimulating. Whether you're decoding Cantor’s diagonal argument or building your first formal proof, I make the journey enjoyable and structured. I believe every student can master the art of thinking rigorously with the right support and mindset. If you're ready to explore mathematics beyond the surface, let’s begin the journey together.

My teaching approach in mathematics is centered on deep understanding rather than memorization. I guide students gently through complex ideas using clear explanations and real-world analogies. Whether it's abstract algebra, number theory, or mathematical proofs, I aim to make challenging concepts feel approachable. I take time to reflect on each student's progress and adjust the pace to suit their needs.

For students exploring advanced topics like group theory or logic-based problem-solving, I focus on building strong foundational thinking. I help them see patterns, relationships, and structures that lie beneath formulas. This helps them develop a mathematical mindset that goes beyond the classroom.

I encourage students to be curious and ask "why" at every step. Those who enjoy independent learning and research will find strong support in shaping their own path. I guide them to discover their unique way of approaching theorems and abstract ideas. Together, we create a space where questions lead to exploration, and exploration leads to insight.

Every learner has the potential to excel in mathematics when taught with patience, care, and creativity. Discover a new way to think mathematically—one that is personal, powerful, and lasting.
