About Lisa

Hello! I hold a bachelor’s degree in Arts Management from the Korea National University of Arts and have gained extensive experience working with artists and staff from around the world. I’ve worked as a producer in the performing arts (classical music, musicals, festivals, ballet, contemporary dance), an artist manager in electronic music, and as an interpreter/translator.

Through these diverse roles, I've learned that effective communication is essential, and I’m here to help you understand how Korean people think, act, and speak. Currently, I live in Korea, with regular visits to Brussels. I enjoy traveling, exploring exhibitions, and reading. I’m also a fan of binge-watching shows, listening to music, doing pilates, cooking, and enjoying coffee. We can chat about anything you're interested in—Korean culture, dramas, movies, K-pop, food, slang, and much more!

I’m passionate about learning new languages. I began studying English on my own at the age of seven and later graduated from a Foreign Language High School, where I majored in English. I’ve also studied Japanese and Chinese, and now, I’m learning French every day. Having learned several languages myself, I fully understand the challenges and steps required to master a new language. I’m here to guide you through every stage of your learning journey, offering personalized tips and strategies. Recently, I earned a Language Teaching Certificate, with a focus on effective language teaching methodologies.

About the lesson

In our trial class, we’ll evaluate your current Korean level and goals, and I’ll provide custom course materials tailored to your unique needs.

I’ll guide you through a wide range of topics, from travel and business to art, music, literature, and beyond.

Beginner Level (6–10 hours)
- Learn to read and write the Korean alphabet, Hangeul (2–4 hours)
- Practice accurate pronunciation
- Read basic words and form simple sentences
* Goal: You’ll be able to introduce yourself in Korean.

Basic Level 1 (10–15 hours)
- Practice common daily expressions
- Study essential grammar
- Topics: activities, locations, numbers, weather, date and time, plans
* Goal: You’ll be able to talk about your yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Basic Level 2 (10–15 hours)
- Expand on basic daily topics
- Topics: hobbies, food, transportation, phone calls, appearance, family, travel, health, meetings, emotions
* Goal: You’ll be able to engage in small conversations with Korean friends

Basic Level 3 (15–20 hours)
- Practice constructing sentences
- Topics: vacations, shopping, travel, manners, objects, requests, dreams
* Goal: You’ll be able to write a short diary in Korean.

Intermediate Level
- Practice forming longer sentences and using frequently used expressions
- Topics: movie/drama scenes, song lyrics, interviews, vlogs, etc.
* Goal: You’ll be able to understand longer sentences on familiar topics.

Advanced Level
- Focus on complex sentence structures and speaking 100% in Korean
- Receive guidance on interviews, CV writing, essays, emails, and more
- Topics: news articles, literature, business, discussions, culture, art, politics, etc.
* Goal: You’ll be able to hold fluent daily conversations and understand subtle nuances.

Test Preparation Course (TOPIK / KIIP)
- Receive the best preparation for your exams with personalized support, including writing corrections, oral interview practice, and targeted problem-solving strategies.
* Goal: Achieve your target score within a set period.
