About Sophie

I am a Master's student at the University of Sydney pursuing an International Security degree and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law and Literature from the University of Hong Kong. I am a native Cantonese speaker, reader, and writer, and fluent in Mandarin.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is personalised and interactive. I focus on understanding the unique learning needs of my students. I use a combination of techniques, including explanations, examples, practice exercises, and active questioning to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the topic. I strive to make complex concepts understandable by breaking them down into simpler elements. Additionally, I encourage critical thinking and problem-solving skills, fostering independent learning.

The length of a lesson can vary based on the complexity of the topic, the student's attention span, and the learning objectives. Generally, lessons can range from 30 minutes to an hour.

I have years of experience tutoring learners of all ages and levels. From young children grappling with homework to secondary school students seeking in-depth explanations, I cater to a broad audience. Whether it's elementary concepts or advanced discussions, my adaptability allows me to accommodate various learning needs.
