About Hsin

Hi! I’m Hsin, a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan with a background in education, teaching and curriculum development.

Teaching has always been something I genuinely enjoy. What I love most is not simply explaining what is “right” or “wrong,” but sharing what I know, exchanging ideas, and seeing someone gradually become more confident because of something we learned together.

Since 2024, I’ve been traveling and living in different places around the world. Even while traveling, teaching has remained part of my life — I’ve continued teaching English to children online and exchanging languages with people I meet along the way.

These experiences have reminded me why I love teaching so much. Teaching, to me, is another form of connection. I get to share my language and culture with you, while also learning about your experiences, perspectives and culture.

Traveling has also shown me that language doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. Sometimes, just a few words can start a conversation, create a shared laugh, or help you connect with someone you otherwise might never have spoken to.

That’s the experience I hope to bring into my Mandarin lessons.

About the lesson

I love traveling, and one thing I’ve learned along the way is that language is one of the most powerful tools for connecting with people.

The approach of the lesson is not only about memorizing vocabulary or mastering grammar. It is about being able to communicate, understand different perspectives, and feel more confident when connecting with Mandarin-speaking people.

With my background in education and curriculum development, my Mandarin lessons are designed to be practical, engaging, and personalized around your goals.
