About Amaury

I have more than fifteen years of experience (academic, work and artistic) in the cultural field. Today I am interested in sharing my experiences and tools so that more people can succeed in the world of the arts and academia.
I have published several books and articles in various magazines. In 2018 I won the Ignacio Manuel Altamirano de Guerrero National Novel Prize with my book "Grimorio". In 2021 I had the Young Creators scholarship from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) in the area of novels to write the book "Other meats". In 2017 I had a scholarship from the Program of Stimuli for Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA) in the area of novels to write the book "The silver dead."
At the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM) I studied for a degree in History and years later I studied the Master's in Editorial Production, a postgraduate degree that has the Conacyt scholarship.
I have worked as a branch manager in Librerías Porrúa, in newsrooms of newspapers such as La Jornada Morelos and teaching at universities, high schools and cultural centers.
Since 2016 I have been co-director of the cultural collective Ruina Tropical, which produces content (videos, books, fanzines, web pages, sonidero dances) on art and daily life in the city of Cuernavaca. Thanks to these experiences I have acquired practical knowledge on resource management between private companies and government institutions, as well as dynamics of event and content production.

About the lesson

My method is focused on results. At the end of each class, we will have verifiable progress in your project. I offer support material that will give you a broad overview. --In the creative writing workshops we follow up your work step by step (novel, short story or script) until it is finished. I will show you various narrative tools so that your creation has a solid narrative base, your characters are realistic and endearing and the experience of your readers is exciting.
- In the Spanish and linguistics school consultancies we will advance each topic until we achieve their total understanding
- In the thesis review we will start from the formal requirements to know if your structure is correct; We will review the content for consistency and the writing is efficient and clear; We will analyze your introduction, development and conclusions so that the thesis is a successful presentation of your research.
- And in the review of projects to request scholarships and funds for cultural products we will see the structure that they must have according to the calls and We will analyze together the best strategy to turn your idea into an attractive approach for the judges.
