Kia ora! I have Master's Degree in English Philology from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Poland! My specialty was Cognitive Linguistics and Teaching English.
I've been working as a teacher of English for over 15 years, teaching all the levels, from primary school to adults, in Poland. Now I live in Christchurch, I'm now doing TEFL Academy course - Level 5 Teaching English as a Foreign Language Course (TEFL) and am eager to teach local foreign students who need everyday English or need it for IELTS test.
For the past five years I have also been working as a translator of literature (English to Polish), an editor and publisher.
The lesson usually lasts 60 minutes. I teach to ensure you actually learn—using an individualized program tailored to the student and based on textbooks from well-known publishers.
When online, lessons feature tools like a whiteboard and camera—a return to the traditional teaching style! Clear notes, and I explain things until you truly understand.
Grammar tenses spread out over three years? Forget about it—we’ll master them in six months.
I like the Natural Approach to learning and Dr. Stephen Krashen's technique of Acquisition Learning.
