About Rourou

I have been giving lessons since 2012. I taught in Shanghai Conservatory of Music for 3 years before I came to the US. My students are musical theater majors. Lots of them now are working as important roles in lots of musical and theater productions in shanghai. Some of them came to New York for their Master program. I also teach adult and children dance, I design the content of the class based on their levels. I teach mandarin too.

About the lesson

I graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, received my MFA in dance degree. I teach dance and mandarine. I think the most important point of teaching is to know my student; to comprehend what information is the best suit for them. I am patient and spontaneous, I love to discover each of my students by talking and teaching them, and help them realize their potentials.

As a dance artist, Rourou is extremely creative and inspiring. I, as a dancer who has worked with her three times, can fairly say that she can be a incredible teacher. When I was working with her, she was not only the choreographer but also a patient instructor. She has the ability to clearly convey her instructions while inspiring and encouraging the dancers to express their own feelings and perform their best. I have grown so much working with her, and I believe her future students will too.
