About Daphne

I am a dedicated Chess tutor with 2 years of experience teaching high school and college students. Over this time, I have successfully guided around 300 students, helping them develop strong skills and confidence in their game. My focus is on making Chess both enjoyable and challenging, ensuring every student feels motivated to improve.
My teaching philosophy centres on understanding each student’s unique learning style. I break down complex strategies into simple, practical steps, using real-life examples and exercises to make concepts clear. I emphasise fundamentals, openings, middlegames, endgames, and tactical thinking, helping students build a solid foundation while developing strategic skills.
I take pride in fostering critical thinking, patience, and problem-solving through Chess. Seeing my students achieve personal milestones and win matches gives me great satisfaction. My goal is to guide every learner to excel, improve steadily, and gain confidence, preparing them for success at every stage of their Chess journey.
