About Lila
I am a passionate chess tutor with 7 years of experience teaching students of all levels, from beginners to advanced players. Over the course of my career, I have successfully taught 150-200 students, helping them improve their chess skills and strategic thinking. My teaching approach focuses on collaboration, flexibility, integrity, and positivity. I believe in making chess both enjoyable and educational by creating a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and share ideas. I adapt my lessons to suit each student's learning style, ensuring they progress at their own pace. My unique skill lies in breaking down complex chess strategies into simpler, more digestible concepts, making the game easier to understand and more enjoyable. I also emphasise the importance of patience, critical thinking, and fair play, helping students not only become better players but also develop essential life skills. Integrity is at the heart of my teaching, ensuring that students develop both their strategic skills and a strong sense of fair play. I maintain a positive attitude throughout, encouraging students to enjoy the process of learning and to embrace challenges as opportunities for growth. In addition to chess, I also teach related subjects such as backgammon, checkers, and other strategy games, using similar principles to help students enhance their overall strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
