About Michael
I studied music theory and vocal performance in college. Right now, I am finishing a Master’s degree for mathematics teaching at George Fox University. Next year, I will hopefully be teaching High School math full-time. My experience in teaching and tutoring goes back to the year 2015, when I tutored young students at Belmont University in Music Theory. While I love music, I have always had a love and a knack for mathematics, and I look forward to teaching it as my main subject.

Do you have a hard time in your math classes? You are not alone! Math is one of the subjects that can give students the most trouble. But, the good news is, anyone, and I mean ANYONE, can learn math. Some students just need some one-on-one help, and will benefit from learning with a different teacher. My lessons will go further than just teaching you math procedures. We will also explore how math connects to the things you love to do, and how to apply it in your life moving forward. I am not just a math teacher—I am a trained musician who discovered his love for math through music. If you’ve ever thought you “just aren’t a math person,” I want to show you that it’s simply not true! Math is everywhere—let’s find it together!
