My teaching method is strictly interactive/participative.....I believe as a tutor, after introducing a topic, you should inquiry the students prior knowledge (of the subject matter) before going further to explain or give them in depth knowledge or information on the topic being treated. This gives them the privilege to express themselves and in turn boost their confidence. I love when students feel comfortable around me...that's why i go as far getting pictorial illustration of subject matter. (Age range of my students 5-18 years)
