About Serena
Hi, I'm Serena! I grew up in New York City performing in everything from subway busking to off-Broadway youth productions from age eight. NYC's extraordinary musical diversity shaped my ear and my artistic sensibility in ways no formal education alone ever could have. I hold a Bachelor of Music Education (B.M.Ed.) from the Manhattan School of Music — one of the most prestigious music conservatories in the world located in the heart of New York City — where I trained alongside future Broadway performers, recording artists, and orchestral musicians. I have 8 years teaching singing to students of all ages. My "monthly voice portrait" system has moved students to genuine tears when they hear how dramatically their voice transformed over just a few months — and that emotional proof of progress is the most powerful motivator I have ever found in music education. I have helped students earn choir placements, land theater roles, release original music, and get into top college music conservatories. I was honored with the New York Music Educators Master Instructor Award for my results-documented and completely student-need-centered approach to vocal coaching. Every vocal need you have — I meet it completely, memorably, and with genuine joy.

Hi! I offer completely student-driven online one-on-one live singing and music lessons for K-12, high school, college first-year, bachelor's first-year students, and all ages. You name it — I deliver it. Fix your vibrato? Done. Learn to harmonize? Let's go. Prepare for your school musical audition this Friday? We start right now. My lessons cover Vocal Technique, Breath Control, Pitch, Tone, Vocal Range, Songwriting, Music Theory, Sight-Singing, Ear Training, Choir Preparation, Piano Basics, and Performance Confidence. My brand new addition is "monthly voice portrait" — every month I record a short vocal assessment of each student and compare it to their very first recording so both of us can hear exactly how far their voice has traveled.
