About Kira
I am an outgoing native Mandarin-speaking tutor originally from China. I hold Grade 1-B Putonghua certificate and a Chinese junior-secondary teaching qualification. I once won the National First Prize in Chinese Calligraphy Competition.
I have a deep personal interest in Chinese literature, poetry and traditional calligraphy. Currently I am pursuing a Master of International Commercial and Business Law in Melbourne.
I really enjoy helping people explore Chinese language and culture. Being friendly and easy-going, I enjoy communicating with students from all kinds of backgrounds, whether you are a young kid, high-school student preparing for VCE/HSC, or an adult learning Mandarin for work or interest.
Outside of study and tutoring, I keep practicing calligraphy and reading Chinese literary works in my spare time.

I adopt a relaxed and enjoyable teaching style. As an outgoing and patient tutor, I try to create a low‑pressure classroom atmosphere, so students feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes without anxiety.
I will tailor every lesson to your personal level and goals. Whether you want to improve daily conversation, prepare for VCE / HSC exams, learn business Mandarin, or explore Chinese literature and calligraphy, we will set clear small‑step targets together.
I place emphasis on correct pronunciation, practical usage and real‑life scenarios, instead of rigid rote memorisation. Homework will be moderate and purpose‑oriented. Feedback will be given promptly after each session.
Online lessons use shared documents and learning materials; for in‑person classes, I bring printed resources when needed. A trial lesson is available so we can check whether our learning style fits.
