My Approach as a Tutor
I believe that every student learns differently, so I make math lessons fun, simple, and personalized to each student’s needs. My goal is to help students understand why a solution works rather than simply memorizing formulas or steps.
Teaching Methodology & Techniques:
I use clear explanations, step-by-step examples, visual aids, practice questions, and real-life examples to make math easier to understand. I encourage students to ask questions and make mistakes because mistakes are an important part of learning. I also adjust my teaching pace based on the student’s comfort level and learning style.
Typical Lesson Plan:
5–10 minutes:Review previous concepts and homework.
15–20 minutes:Introduce and explain the new math concept.
15–20 minutes: Work through examples together.
10–15 minutes: Independent practice with guidance when needed.
5 minutes: Review what was learned and identify areas to practice.
What Sets Me Apart:
I am patient, encouraging, and focused on building confidence. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions without being afraid of getting an answer wrong. I also try to connect math to everyday situations so students can see how useful math is beyond the classroom.
Who My Lessons Are For:
My lessons are designed for students in Grades 1–5 who want extra support with elementary mathematics. This includes students who need help understanding classroom concepts, completing homework, preparing for tests, strengthening foundational skills, or gaining more confidence in math.
