About Harrison
Technical precision often masks the physical tension that stifles musical expression for many violinists. After 13 years of performing and instructing over 100 students, I find that simplicity yields the clearest sound. My home studio in Los Angeles remains a sanctuary for growth. I hold a DMA from the University of Michigan School of Music and apply Alexander Technique principles to every student I coach, from 4-year-old beginners to college prep teenagers.

"Instructional time begins by establishing a neutral, balanced stance that supports long term comfort. I integrate Alexander Technique concepts into our work on spiccato and staccato bowing, vibrato, scales, and arpeggios to ensure your mechanics stay sustainable.
We utilize these foundations to tackle complex ear training and specific ABRSM or Trinity grade exam repertoire. The DMA background provides a roadmap for advanced musical development while keeping the process grounded in physiology. Participants receive detailed free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to guide their home practice sessions.
This methodical support helps clarify the most difficult passages. Watching a student finally release hidden tension to produce a resonant, effortless tone remains the most rewarding part of this work."
