About Nina
My degree from a mixed media course and a few years of experience being a freelancer in the camera department and solo shooter give me an all-round approach to teaching you all things camera. I have worked as a photographer and videographer for events, performances, behind the scenes, magazines, interviews and more. During my spare time I like to take analog photos, which is probably my biggest passion and how I feel the most fulfilled artistically. I also have experience in film shoots, working as a camera assistant, operator and director of photography, which has expanded my knowledge to lighting techniques, cinema cameras and composition for motion picture films.

I will base my lessons on your interests, so depending on what your focus is I will direct the lessons at specific topics. Some of these will include: understanding your camera and its settings, exposure, how to load a roll of film, how to maintain your camera equipment, basics of photo editing, shot composition, qualities of light, tips on avoiding blank rolls, lighting setups and more. I can also teach you about shooting videos if that is interesting to you, or anything camera related relevant to my experience. My main goal is to get you to have fun with your camera and experiment, so I will teach you the "rules" and techniques but I will also encourage you to break them once in a while.
