About Kieran
Hello! My name is Kieran Carter and I am a London based, freelance cellist and teacher, currently persuing a masters degree in performance at the Royal College of Music.
I have been a private and visiting teacher for the past 5 years. I have a wealth of experience as a cello teacher, having had many students go on to take and succeed very well in grades 1-8 ABRSM exams. I am a patient yet thorough teacher and I encourage a very positive and creative mindset to practice and music in general. I am also a firm believer that it is never too late to start your instrument, and have had a number of students from ages 20-75 who have decided to play again or start from scratch for fun. As well as cello, I teach the piano and music theory of all levels, and am an experienced piano accompanist for graded exams.
Aside from teaching I am in demand as a cellist in orchestras and small groups, and freelance across the UK and occasionally abroad.
