About Veronica
Hello! I'm Veronica, an American student who is about to start a master's degree course in modern literature at the University of Siena. My passion for language learning and my experience with children lead me to look for a family that is interested in a nice language exchange for their children.
I have been a lifeguard and swimming teacher for 5 years, and I have been teaching creative writing for a few years. I spent this summer working as an au pair in a family with a three year old girl on the Island of Elba. It was a dream experience, and I would like to continue with this type of work which I found really rewarding.
I would describe myself as an easygoing, energetic, cheerful and proactive girl. My main values are respect and education. Compared to teaching, my first goal is to encourage children to feel comfortable, confident and happy when they speak English, after which we can get down to business and learn grammar and vocabulary! :)
My experience on the Island of Elba was so beautiful that I am still in contact with the host family and, for further references, they will be happy to tell you about me. Thanks in advance and I hope to meet you soon !!!

Ho contattato Veronica perché volevamo che la nostra bimba di 4 anni iniziasse a prendere dimestichezza con la lingua inglese per tempo e ben prima dell'ingresso alla scuola primaria.
Veronica è stata la sua tutor per 3 mesi ed è stata un'esperienza di grande arricchimento, umano non meno che linguistico.
Veronica è una ragazza veramente adorabile ed è bravissima con i bambini: tramite il gioco e con grande naturalezza, sa coinvolgere e modulare qualsiasi attività "traghettando" il bimbo verso la lingua inglese (incoraggiandolo a formulare dapprima nomi o piccole frasi e portandolo ad esprimersi sempre di più).
