About BRENDAH
I approach literature as both a scholar and a guide. My training in literary analysis, close reading, and critical theory allows me to teach texts with depth and precision, while my experience in the classroom ensures that discussion remains clear, structured, and purposeful. Students can expect a learning environment grounded in academic rigor, mutual respect, and intellectual curiosity. I take my role seriously: lessons are carefully prepared, assessments are fair and transparent, and every text is taught with attention to its historical, cultural, and stylistic context. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but to give them the tools to read thoughtfully, argue persuasively, and engage literature with confidence.

My teaching philosophy towards literature is student-centered, discussion based, and skills-based. I would like to make students not only learn literary texts, but also like reading them and become confident in their ability to articulate their thoughts. The ley techniques I use include:
1.Close reading, analyzing, and discussing the language, imagery, structure, and themes.
2.Conducting contextual analysis to help students learn historical, cultural, and authorial background where appropriate.
3.Planning of the structured essays, emphasis on clear arguments, good evidence and effective structure.
The lessons are mostly 45-60 minutes. This time is sufficient to provide the explanation, discussion, and practice.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts and Social Sciences degree in Literature and Tutoring Experience. I have tutored in a local high school for more than 3 years. I have a good academic background in literature and have a wide experience in tutoring students at one-on-one level. I have also been able to assist learners of various ages and abilities, and I have assisted them to:
Enhance writing skills and analytical skills.
Become sure about reading complicated texts.
Study effectively in the form of exams and coursework.
I am tolerant, systematic and encouraging and I believe in straightforward explanations and positive criticisms.
My literature classes are congruent to:
Students of secondary schools and adult learners that are interested in literature or learning how to write better academic papers. The lessons are completely differentiated according to the level, syllabus and the learning style of the student.
