About Sarah
I study Linguistics and Translation at the University of Iowa and have taken classes in linguistics, Latin, literature, and rhetoric. My linguistic studies have enhanced my understanding of language structures and grammar, especially in English. Studying foreign languages like Latin and Spanish further developed my knowledge of grammar as it applies to English. I have experience as a leader and mentor in the Hawkeye Marching Band, where I teach and review marching fundamentals to new and returning members. This requires my strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with and instruct different members, who learn and communicate in various ways, so I can best serve the individual.
