About Jonás
I´m a cellist and composer. As a cellist I have experience in symphonic orchestra, chamber music, contemporary, popular and traditional Mexican music. As a composer I dedicate myself to the creation of soundtracks and sound design for film, theater and dance. Both disciplines integrate them in the electroacoustic composition, improvisation and live electronics.

I believe that learning must be integral, so in my class the physical, intellectual and creative aspects that help you achieve your goals are exercised. In the beginning the instrument is the way to approach the theoretical tools necessary for better understanding and progress; for this, I use as a base proven methods of both the classical school and the twentieth century to develop a personal methodology based on the particular needs of each student. The most important thing is to know your goals and work to reach them. I have experience in teaching children from 5 years to adults of 60 years, I have also had the opportunity to work with different people. I teach classes in English and Spanish.

Fue mi profesor desde que yo era muy joven, siempre tuvo paciencia y me motivó a dedicarme a la música:))!!! Un punto clave de sus clases es que explica términos musicales con ideas alternas, para que puedan ser más claros. Recomiendo mucho si buscan mejorar como artistas.
Excelente profe! Sabe enseñar y guiar muy bien sobre lo que uno quiero explorar musicalmente, así como desarrollar ideas musicales y producirlas con software. Tiene una visión amplia de la música lo que me ayudó a explorar otros caminos y despertó mi interés en la síntesis, mezclando lo analógico con lo electrónico. Logré aterrizar y comprender conceptos teóricos de manera muy ágil y práctica con su ayuda, algo que me había costado mucho trabajo.
