My Teaching Method
I use a phonics-based, multi-sensory approach. This means we don't just look at letters; we use songs, visual flashcards, and interactive games to connect sounds to letters. Breaking reading down into playful steps keeps young learners fully engaged and eager to learn more.
A Typical Lesson Plan
First 5 mins: Fun alphabet warm-up or a quick letter-sound game.
Next 15 mins: Introducing a new sound, blend, or sight words using colorful visuals.
Next 20 mins: Guided reading practice with engaging, level-appropriate short stories.
Last 5 mins: Interactive wrap-up game and a positive reward summary to celebrate today's progress.
